StudioPosition Description and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes, plans and designs creative projects, according to creative brief and/or project specifications on Tier 2 and Tier 3 projects.
  • Specializes in multiple brands, gaining deep knowledge of the brand character and guidelines.  
  • Accepts feedback from the Design Manager/Art Director and the Account Executive and incorporates the feedback into the designs.
  • Works with Design Manager to ascertain client's needs and develop creative/design for assigned projects.
  • Performs work on multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing projects to meet deadlines.
  • Performs non-creative job-related duties as assigned including naming and archiving of files and trafficking of projects.
  • Complies with all relevant internal policies and procedures.
  • Builds mechanicals or provides direction to a Production Artist in building mechanicals. Files should be tight enough for smooth pre-press/release.
  • Provides final sign-off on projects to ensure compliance with creative intent, matching file structure against developed or supplied spec sheets.
  • Communicates clearly and promptly with Manager and Studio staff.


Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to multitask effectively.
  • Highly organized.
  • Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to create and produce graphic design materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment.
  • Uphold the standards set by Brand Guidelines and precise comprehension of branded material development.
  • Ability to translate a creative brief into a design that solves the client’s marketing/communication problem.
  • Excellent command of formats, typography, graphics and layout.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of software and printing technologies related to creative projects.
  • Excellent design, production and pre-press skills.
  • Must be proficient on Mac platform. VMware is installed on all Macs, so PC skill set is also preferred (Word, PPT).


Required Skills:

Position Requirements

  • 4-5 years Agency experience in creative/graphic design with production skill sets. Major pharmaceutical branding design experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in creative/graphic design.
  • Must be proficient in all major desktop publishing apps. Specifically QuarkXpress, CS4- InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.
